Terms of Service

Postface connects to services you choose — currently Gmail and Google Calendar, with read-only access — and uses artificial intelligence to write short digests of new email and upcoming events. We deliver those digests to you by SMS text message, on the schedule you pick. Postface reads on your behalf; it does not send email, edit events, or post anything for you.

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter into a binding contract to use Postface.
• You sign in with your name and a mobile phone number that you own or are authorized to use. Keep that phone and its messages secure — anyone with access to your sign-in codes can access your account.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@postface.io if you believe your account has been used without permission.

When you connect Gmail or Google Calendar, you authorize Postface to access that data read-only, under the permissions Google shows you on the consent screen. You may revoke that access at any time from your Postface home or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You represent that you have the right to connect any account you connect and that doing so does not violate another person's rights or any agreement you are bound by.

Postface's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google, Microsoft, and other connected services are not parties to these Terms. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

• Consent. By providing your phone number and signing in, you agree to receive automated text messages from Postface, including one-time sign-in codes and the digests you ask for. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
• Message frequency. Frequency depends on the preference you choose in the app — real time, daily, a few times a week, or weekly — plus a sign-in code each time you log in. Most people receive between 1 and 7 digests per week.
• Opting out. Reply STOP to any Postface message to stop receiving texts. Because Postface is delivered by text, opting out pauses your digests and sign-in codes; reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email support@postface.io.
• Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard messaging and data charges apply to messages you send and receive. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Your number. Let us know if you change or give up your phone number so we stop sending to it. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing.

You agree not to:

• Connect an email account, calendar, or phone number that you do not own or are not authorized to use.
• Use Postface to harass, stalk, or monitor another person, or to collect information about anyone without their consent.
• Break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or send unlawful, deceptive, or abusive content through the Service.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service; bypass authentication or rate limits; or interfere with the Service or other users.
• Access the Service with automated tools (scrapers, bots) except as we expressly allow, or resell or sublicense the Service.
• Reverse-engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules or that create risk or legal exposure for Postface or other users.

• Free plan. The Free plan costs nothing and does not require a credit card.
• Paid plans. When paid plans are available they renew automatically each month until you cancel. Prices are shown on the pricing section of postface.io and may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.

Digests are produced automatically by AI. They can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and they can miss things that matter to you. Postface is a convenience, not a substitute for reading the original message or event. Always check the source before acting on anything important — deadlines, money, health, legal, or safety information. Postface does not provide professional advice of any kind.

You keep all rights to your email, calendar data, preferences, and anything else you provide ("Your Content"). You give Postface a limited license to access, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service to you, in line with our Privacy Policy. The Postface name, mark, website, software, and digest formats are owned by Postface and protected by intellectual-property laws; you may not copy or use them except as these Terms allow.

You can stop using Postface at any time. Disconnect your accounts from Integrations in your Postface home, reply STOP to pause texts, or email support@postface.io to have your account and data deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where practical we will give you advance notice. Sections 7 through 13 survive termination.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POSTFACE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY DIGEST WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT ANY TEXT MESSAGE WILL BE DELIVERED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POSTFACE AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID POSTFACE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to defend and hold Postface harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Postface is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@postface.io and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located where Postface is organized, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will post the new Terms at postface.io/terms, update the "Last updated" date, and, where appropriate, notify you by text. Continuing to use Postface after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
